The Evening 10 Time Trial Series

In 2010 this series will be run fortnightly on Wednesday evening from 21st April to 25th August before the Club meets at Navestock Side Village Hall.

If you wish to ride in an event you should turn up at the Hall around about 20 minutes ahead of start time to sign on and prepare your bike. Start times vary so please check on the programme and arrive in good time.

The Trials are conducted under the rules of Cycling Time Trials and all riders must comply with these rules.

Every rider must sign the official CTT Signing On sheet and will not be issued a number or be permitted to start without having done so.

Entry is free to members of the Club. Non-members will be charged an Entry Fee of £1.

There are no prizes but Club members will be awarded points according to placings. Trophies are awarded at the end of each series to the Club members, male and female, riders with the highest total points.

Whilst the safety of riders is paramount the Club cannot guarantee to provide Marshals at turning/crossing points on the course. Riders should familiarise themselves with the route of each course and should pay particular attention to the junctions, turns and any other points on the course which could pose a hazard. It is the rider’s responsibility to find his/her way round the course safely, and must at all times comply with the Highway Code.

No-one under the age of 18 is allowed to ride without Parental Consent.

The CTT provides a Parental Consent form which must be signed in the presence of a Club official by the rider’s parent or guardian before the first ride is made. The Club official form must then countersign the form and state his/her name, address, and Official Position in the Club. A Parental Consent form, once signed, remains valid for the remainder of the calendar year and will be retained by the Time Trials Secretary. The Time Trials Secretary will ensure that a list of Parental Consents is maintained and is available each week to the person signing on the riders.

Only one course will be used this season i.e the 2 lap course (E14A in the CTT handbook). A map of the course will be on display at the Signing-on point in the Village Hall .
