Glendene CC "Early Starter" LVRC road race - Sunday 28th February.

Despite appalling weather conditions, the LVRC National Calendar opened with our "Early Starter" Race over 48 miles on the Thaxted - Howlett End - Debden Circuit and an enthralling war of attrition developed between the Finchley RT and Glade CC. Opening lap attacker Trevor Burke (Finchley) opened up a two minute lead before four riders countered, but their efforts were in vain as big Trev went on to win with a margin of over six minutes! Well done to all 10 finishers and to the numerous marshals and officials who braved such unusually inclement weather.
