New Club Record Colin Mannakee writes
.. it has come to my notice that on 3rd May in the Susie's Track Meeting at PORTSMOUTH Track, one of our young schoolboy stars, OLIVER ROSSI (Ollie), broke the Club's Schoolboy Record for the KILOMETRE by nearly FIVE SECONDS. Ollie recorded 1m 28.55s to smash Edward Whitehorn's 2000 record of 1-33.41 set at the Welwyn track.
Ollie was riding a round of the National Schoolboys' Omnium Series in which he finished 4th overall with 26 points, having placed 4th in the Devil, 5th in the Sprint, the Kilo and the 10km Points, and 7th in the 10km Scratch.
