Sadly, I have to report that Ken passed away in the early hours of Thursday 11th March after suffering a stroke two weeks earlier. He leaves a widow, Betty, two daughters, Wendy and Michelle, and six grandchildren. Our thoughts are with them at this time.
Ken was a very popular club member and a strong rider in the early 50’s. After his marriage to Betty and to further his career he moved away and left the Club. I am pleased to say that he rejoined the club after a reunion with his old clubmates (myself included) at the 75th Anniversary Dinner/Dance in 1997.
For myself, Ernie and Doris Moss, Dave and Shirley Rist, Alan Wolfe and Colin Mannakee I feel I can say that Ken will be sorely missed and long remembered.
